ilo date and time sync
Hi,
I would like to know how ilo is synchronizing time. I know that it gets time from host but I need detailed information under what circumstances it happens.
Do you have some hp article / document describing that?
Thanks in advance

Re: ilo date and time sync
iLO would first attempt to sync its time with the system RTC when the server is showing POST. Also, if the HP agents are loaded, iLO would sync its time with the OS.
iLO3 and iLO4 include a SNTP client. You can manually set up the SNTP IP address in iLO3/4 webGUI or if you have a DHCP server, you can set it up to provide DHCP option #42 and #101 for SNTP IP address and TimeZone respectively.

Re: ilo date and time sync
Hi,
I don't know if you solve this or not. There is simple way you can set up date and time on ILO. When you boot up server, hit F9 go to BIOS and you can set up date and time there. Then it will sync to ILO.
