ILO Remote configuration
Hi
We have a w2k server in a remote location. We are able to RDP onto the box, but the RIB seems to have lost its config as we have no success accessing it. Is there a control panel applet that can be installed for configuring RIB cards on 2000 servers? I'm aware that we can configure it by using F8 after startup, bu this is obviously not an option in this case!
Many thanks

Re: ILO Remote configuration
I'm assuming that this relates to a Riloe I card (and not a Riloe II).
There is a control panel applet. Get a hold of a Smartstart CD around the 5.40 or 5.30 version. I can't remember the path on the cd, but you need to copy two files from the cd to your c:\winnt\system32 directory. The files are:
rib.cpl
rib.hlp
Once the two files are in place, refresh or open control panel and you will see a pink icon towards the bottom. Remote Insight Setup I believe it's called.
Bear in mind, this applet does not apply to the Riloe II or the iLO.
Good luck,
Ed
