Problem extending the schema on Windows Server 2008 R2
Hi,
I downloaded the latest(I think) "HP Directories Support for ProLiant Management Processors(SP53909.exe)" to extend the schema. After I installed on a member server and ran the "Management Devices Schema Extender" and got the following results:
---------------------------------------
Sending HP Management Core schema:
******************************************************************
Attributes:
----------
hpqRoleIPRestrictions
OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.1001.1.1.2.5
Syntax: 1.3.6.1.4.1.1466.115.121.1.40
Single Value: FALSE
Description: A list of IP addresses, DNS names, domain, address ranges, and subnets which partially specify right restrictions under an IP network address constraint.
<WARNING 0x80072020: An operations error occurred.
------------------------------------------
I then install it on the domain controller and ran it locally and got a different result(also see screen shot attached):
------------------------------------------
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

I tried to extend the schema wtih Directory Server only not the Directory Login as I have unchecked the SSL so that it uses Kerveros for authenticdation. I have DotNet F 3.51 installed for both the servers.
Any clue what's missing?
Thanks

Re: Problem extending the schema on Windows Server 2008 R2
Did you try the new version 4.00?
Fixes:
- The utility may have displayed an error message on User Access Control enabled Windows clients if not logged in as the Administrator.
- Directory Objects may not have been properly deleted using Directory Integration 3.xx.
