RILOE II REMOTE CONSOLE Issue
Like many other users, I'm having problems with the RILOE II Remote Console:
When I start a remote console session
I get a black screen with the following lines
Login Name: -----Long sequence of characters
Password: *********************
Invalid login.
Login Name : SESSION MAIN ..
In all forums, the recommendation is to disable to proxy. Example: http://forums13.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=771478
In my particular case, If I disable the proxy usage in the browser, then the https RILO interface won't be reachable.
This is my setup:
- My RILO is outside the intranet.
- The port 23 is reachable from my current lan.
- The port 443 and 80 are reachable from my lan through a proxy.
If I disable the proxy, then I can not connect to the RILO through web anymore.
How can I solve this issue?
Thanks in advance,
Regards.

Re: RILOE II REMOTE CONSOLE Issue
Thanks for your suggestion.
The problem that I have is that part of the ports are going through a proxy (port 80 & 443) and some other ports are direct (23 and others)
If I set Java to use the same LAN setup than the browser, then the port 23 is not reachable by Java (I think so..)
If I disable the proxy, then I can not connect to the port 80 / 443 any more.
May be I can set all the ports different than 80/443 on the RILO and then go try to connect without using the proxy...
Regards,
Alfredo.
pd: Esta RILO me esta volviendo loco... ;)

Re: RILOE II REMOTE CONSOLE Issue
One important thing... What server and in which PCI slot is the RILOE plugged in?
There are some slots in certain servers in which the RILOE might not work properly so you may want to take a look at this:

Re: RILOE II REMOTE CONSOLE Issue
The RILO is working perfectly if I access it from the same LAN. It is not a compatibility issue.
The problem is when I try to use the remote console going through a proxy.
Regards,
Alfredo.

Re: RILOE II REMOTE CONSOLE Issue
Now, in the proxy you are using... are there any restrictions for certain web addresses??? you may want to add the RILOEs IP and DNS to the proxy a a safe/allowed website.
