Admin password not working
For some obscure reason, the Admin user I setup in the Administrators group on my Insight Manager 4.2 box can no longer login. The password has certainly not changed but it generates a login failed message. Can't login through the standard Insight Manager Homepage (7.30) either. How do I fix this? I was under the impression that the logins ID's are now he same as those used to login to Windows itself. I can login to the server at the Windows login as Admin, priving the password hasn't changed, so why has it just stopped working from Insight Manager???

Re: Admin password not working
Please check your Local Security Policy --> Local Policies --> Security Options
Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level
Network security: minimum security for NTLM SSP based (including secure RPC) servers
Neither setting should be configured for NTLMv2 only or the installer credentials check will fail.

Re: Admin password not working
I have no idea what you're referring to I'm afraid. We don't use Active Directory and are primarily Novell so use Novell to push down any policies. Please tell me exactly what to click on after having logged into the server to find these security settings you are referring to.
Thanks

Re: Admin password not working
Sorry, found this Security Policy info in Administrative tools but that wasn't ths issue. Must have been some Admin user password corruption on the Insight Server as I had to reset it then I was able to login to the IM Home Page.
