Hi Guys,
I’m trying to collect information on all the agents installed on our servers (500+). I’ve looked at reports but there doesn’t seem to be an option. Does anyone know how to do this? Ultimately, I’d like to know:
1) Whether the servers trust the HP SIM (CMS) server
2) What agents are installed on what servers,
3) How the agents are configured
4) What support pack is installed on what servers.
Any advice will be much appreciated.
Thanks
Andrew

Solution
I do this with both reports and collections.
1- Trust status - Use collection for these. Build a collection with attributes then choose agent trust. I have both collections for untrusted 2k and 2k3 and then another set for trusted 2k and trusted 2k3.
2 - For agents installed on the system use a report. This information is under the general inventory and software. Export this to CSV so you can work with it in Excel or Access or tool of your choice. You can run this report against your trusted collections from number 1 to know where you are at.
3. agents configured?? not sure what configuration information you are looking for here.
4. For the PSP I use the replicate settings once I have all the servers trusting the sim box to set the vca (version control agent) to have a baseline of either the current PSP that I'm standarizing on or a customized PSP.
Hope this helps. If you want more information let me know.

Re: Agent Inventory
On 4 I left off the reason for replicating the VCA to have a baseline is this will then control the status indicated on the devices page so then I know at a glance if all my trusted servers are at the baseline PSP that is my target.
I have to work this way because I have 2 SIM environments. One for our data center which has over 1000 servers and then our field servers is around 1300 servers.
