Alpha not discovered

I have an old AlphaStation DS15 trapping to HPSIM 5.3 via WEBES. It sends out traps but in the logfile on the CMS I get the message: [HPSIM_DEBUG] [Panic Logger-0] (Identification via Discovery:1) --->Is the subtype wrong ? for device: Product Model String: AlphaStation DS15

and it never appears in HPSIM. However, we do have some old ES45's as well and they are OK. Why is the DS15 being rejected? How do I get it to be discovered properly?
