Changing Event Catagories

Hi There,

is it possible to change what SIM alerts as an Event.

For example - if a server doesn't respond a Critical Alert is automatically generated. Is there any way that I could change this kind of event to report a minor Alert?

The reson is that I create notification task based on Alerts, and for my environment what SIM produces as a critical alert may not be deemed a critical event.

Does SIM have the Granularity to change this ?? I know IBM Director does !!
