Changing HPSIM hardware platform

We want to migrate our HPSIM 4.1 to a new server then upgrade to 4.2

Is there a way we can migrate to this new server easily? At the very least, we'd like to migrate the data we've entered to the new box

Thanks

Re: Changing HPSIM hardware platform

Should be possible.
Was this an original HPSIM 4.1 installation or did it come from the original 4.0. I ask as database names changed but upgrades retain the old names.
Is the database on a different Server?
I'd close down HPSIM, save the database and then install HPSIM 4.1 on the new Server.

If the database name has changed you may need to do a bit of renaming at the SQL Level, again with HPSIM closed down. Once done, Start HPSIM up and see if it looks okay.

Once you're happy with the move upgrade to HPSIM 4.2.

Re: Changing HPSIM hardware platform

I am 95% sure this was an install of HPSIM 4.1, and the DB would be on the same server.

Is there a default name or is the db name user specified during the initial installation?

In addition to that, how will this affect the administrative users and respective profiles entered?

And what of System Lists, Supported Servers lists?
