CIM Install account

I need to change the account I used to install the CIM. I now hav an account dedicated to CIM, is it pretty straightforward to use this new account. Bearing in mind that I am using a separate SQL server for the database.

Or is it possible to reinstall the instance of CIM and reuse the original database created on the sql server. If this is possible how is it achieved.
