Clearing Fixed Paging Alarms
Does anyone know how to stop paging without disabling the event of an alarm that has been corrected, or fixed?? For Ex. a small power outage of a server that power has been restored but failure notifications are still paging.
I'm using SIM 5.0-SP4

Re: Clearing Fixed Paging Alarms
Generally HPSIM only triggers the event handling when the event happens. It doesn't continue to resend alerts.
The agents do resend events if they're restarted.
So, if you lost a power supply you should just get the one alert from the event.
The only other way would be if the problem is resolved and it happens again another event would be generated.

Re: Clearing Fixed Paging Alarms
Someone must have set up an Event handler to go out and page.
Your first place to check would be:
Events->Automatic Event Handling-> Manage Tasks
This would list the events handling tasks.
You can then look at what conditions the tasks are firing on.
