CMS on VM Server

A quick question, can the CMS run okay on a Virtual Server, managing a domain of approx 2500 server with no power/vm/update plug-ins?

The SQL will run on a dedicated SQL physical server.

The other thing for us that means a change to a physical server is that ISEE is scheduled to go EOL and that the Remote Support Option is the preferred way of logging calls for things like the EVA.

Re: CMS on VM Server

We have been running HPSIM as an ESX vm for years, but only have around 500 nodes and an EVA4100.

No problem.

But like Rob, we probably will have to go physical unless the specifications for Service Essentials are changed.
