com.hp.mx.database.DbVerificationException

I keep getting this Event id 3 error when trying to launch HP SIM 4.1 after moving the database from a local MSDE to a SQL server on another box. I have changed the ODBC connections and modified the Database.props file, but now it seems like SIM cannot make a connection to the SQL database. The "test connection" works fine in the ODBC gui. I also used the SQL Export and Import wizard to move the databses.
Does anyone have any ideas on this?
