Command Line device removal

I have a situation where I would like to run a command line removal of a device WHEN it has changed to the Critical state. When I try the mxnode -r device I get the error message stating that the node name I specified does "not represent a node in this system"...yet I can go into the GUI just fine and delete it.

When I list all nodes these devices DO NOT show up...so how can I remove them so they do not display in the GUI?

NOTE: These devices will always show up as Unmanaged.

Never mind...I don't know what was wrong the first few times I tried this but it just worked fine...the node was in the list and so the removal worked just fine.
