Configuring HPSIM
I am trying to configure HPSIM to notify me of system events such as memory and temperature and hardware failures.
All it seems to notify me about at the moment is when a server goes offline but I want it to notify me about other conditions such as high temperatures etc..
How do I configure this ?
Thanks
Ben

Re: Configuring HPSIM
This should be on by default, have you actually had any hardware failures/high temperatures and not been alerted?

Re: Configuring HPSIM
I typically create a rule to notify me of any events that are not flagged as "informational". This seems to get me all events I care about without any (or much) noise.

Re: Configuring HPSIM
make sure the community strings on the monitored servers and the CMS are a match, and that the servers SNMP trap destinations are set to point to the CMS.
