Could not set the disk threshold
I faced the famous issue on my HP SIM5 "Could not set the disk threshold, the agent did not accept the request.". Already I overcome this issue by importing certificate from HP SIM and trust by cert on HP 4.2(with 10 servers) on 5 projects. But here this issue is unique.SNMP string as READ WRITE and trap destination as HP SIM server and CERT imported from console. Also i can able to browse remote servers SMH from the HP SIM server. There is no problem mailing (got alert for process, reachable, traps and etc). The only problem is with the disk threshold.
I belive some settings need to set on HP SIM or related to firewall. Any one help to over come this issue.
Config:
HP SIM5/ Agent ver 7.5 all windows 2000 server(having 200 servers)

Re: Could not set the disk threshold
It's SNMP.
You need a Read/Write (or Read Create) SNMP Community name, that needs to be set up on both the HPSIM Server and the target server.
SNMP on the target server also needs to have a list of acceptable hosts including localhost as well as the HPSIM Server.
Finally SNMP needs to have Sets enabled. Easiest way to check is via the HP Management Agents GUI (via Control Panel)

Re: Could not set the disk threshold
thanks Rob, both source and destination is having READ WRITE with for the same SNMP string. Also i enabled SNMP set on the HP management in Control panel. Whenever i sent a trap , i got mail from HP SIM.
