Create System Groups from Selection

From a member of the hpSIM dev team:

"Since this seems to be a popular request, I spent some time creating two tools that would allow me to select systems from a list (or just create a task in whole) and then run a tool that creates a system group from that selection. The tool does have limitations, eg 400 systems max due to CLI command size, but it helps.

The first tool is used to add system groups based on a query or selected set of systems. The second is one that can modify an existing system group, to say refresh the set every so often.

To add the tools, use the mxtool -af command. Also note, the user that the SSH process is set to start up as must have the paths to the HP SIM runtime configured correctly for this to work as well. One caveat, I only tried this on a Windows CMS, and of course this is not part of the supported HP SIM product."

This TDEF is offered for educational purposes only. HP assumes no fault for the use of the script and there are no warranties express or implied.
