Critical Bios Update
Dear All,
We recently received the above from HP. Is it possible to update the bios via HP SIM and if so is a trust mandatory? I had initially thought that the ROM paq was included in PSP packs but found out otherwise.
Thanks
Joe

Re: Critical Bios Update
Joe,
No ROMs are not included in the Softpaq, there would be just too many options.
Setting up the Trust relationship makes a lot of this stuff easier.
You will need to configure the VCA on the Server to know where the VCRM is and the login details.
Then you can browse to the VCA for the Server and deploy the ROM from there.
It will require a reboot to finish. Also note there's a bug somewhere in the VCA/VCRM display, even if you have the later ROM in the VCRM the older ROMS are listed as Grren, they should show up as Yellow.

Re: Critical Bios Update
Thanks Rob,
Just too clarify, are you saying that I would install the Rom paq into the VC repository just as I would do with the PSP packs?
Thanks
Joe
