Curious about the Data protector MIB...
while managing the MIBs on my CMS, i Noticed that there was a MIB for HP Data Protector... does anyone know how this MIB allows DP to interact with SIM 4.1 (what alerts does it give?) and how to set it up? does it work with DP 5.1 or do i have to wait for DP 5.5?

Re: Curious about the Data protector MIB...
If you check in the download web page of HP SIM, Data Protector is listed as a Plug-in.
As any other product that you can integrate MIB's to HP SIM, you can create notifications and tasks based on alerts configured using MIB parameters.

Re: Curious about the Data protector MIB...
sorry, my question was a little confusing and possibly in the wrong forum. my question was supposed to be: how do you configure DP to forward SNMP traps to SIM?
After looking around I have discovered how to set this up. Thanks for the response though, the addins page was useful to see what else is "plugged" in to SIM 4.1.
