Data Collection Interval versus Sample Rate

HP,

Using SIM 4.2, shouldn't our Data Collection Interval (in each server's Control Panel, HP Management Agent, SNMP Settings) match what is seen in Performance Management Pack Options, Configuration, Sample Rate? I'm getting different values. Example 5 minutes on the server side and 120 secs on the PMP Configuration side.

Also, what would you recommend to be a good setting for our servers' data collection interval?
