Database for SIM 5.x
Hello,
Does anybody knows if i must to setup an oracle or progess database in order to install SIM? i mean can i avoid to install a db?
Does exists an property SIM DB?
How do you handled the licensing for the Db ?

Depends on what platform you're installing on.
The install will install SQL Server Express if there's no DB available.
Not sure about other DB's.

Hosting HP SIM on HP-UX can utilize either the PostgreSQL or Oracle databases. Please visit http://www.hp.com/go/hpsim --> Technical Support --> Sizing Information and input your environment's parameters to see if you can utilize PostgreSQL or if your size will require Oracle.
