deploying software

It is possible to deploy other software then Proliant Support Pack through SIM4.1 ? For example Insight Management Agent for desktop's ?
If yes, how to set-up software repository ?

The short answer is no. The Version Control Agent is not a general purpose method for software distribution.

Please also note that Insight agents for client systems are end of life as of last December and are no longer being updated for new systems. The recommended method of management is HP Client Manager and that will have a connector for hpSIM in the future.

BTW, HP Client Manager provides support for the desktops' method of software distribution, Systems Software Manager.
