Discovery issues
I am having some major issues with the autodiscover feature of HP SIM. I currently have HP Systems Insight Manager 5.0 with SP5.
Issue: Today when i showed up this morning and decided to continue working on HP SIM I login and noticed that there were now 6345 computers added to the database. I only had 45 objects before i left yesterday. I do not have the auto discovery feature enabled. I checked and it is disabled and it shows that it actually ran back on July 19th. I would think it would say it ran last night but it did not as i stated "IT IS DISABLED." I did check the Audit log and its kinda weird that it says it ran at 2:30A.M. even though it reports that the last time it was ran was on the 19th like stated earlier.
Well i hope someone can have an answer as to why this is happening. Also the fact that about 90% of these machines that were added are no where on our domain. They are old computer names that have since been removed from DNS, and anywhere on AD. So in the same way i dont really know where it is getting this computers from.
