Disk Threshold Agent Polling Setting
If I go to the default task, leave all fields blank, except for the polling, then run it, I am afraid it may see blank fields and disable the thresholds.
Will this happen? Can I change the polling without affecting the thresholds I already have set?
Thanks.

Re: Disk Threshold Agent Polling Setting
In hpSIM, the 'SNMP Status Polling for Servers' task can tell you one thing, and one thing only, and that is if the system is reachable or un-reachable.
If you have a disk threshold set at the agents, they communicate that back to hpSIM with an SNMP trap. Be sure you have your trap destinations and community strings correct.
By default the agents check stuff every 5 minutes themselves, and this is called the data collection interval (basically the agent checks on the counters it tracks). This can be changed to a frequency of 5 seconds to a maximum of 60 minutes.
This is set through Start --> Control Panel --> HP Management Agents --> SNMP Settings --> Data Collection Interval. This needs to be done at every server.
Please note that if you do choose a number of 1 minute or below, depending on the overall speed of the system, this could result in a performance degradation of some sort.

Re: Disk Threshold Agent Polling Setting
Which goes up to 99999 seconds. That is where I want to change it, but not to reset any disk thresholds when I do. Just change the polling rate.
DO you know where I am talking about?
I know where you mentioned but I saw the above setting too.

Re: Disk Threshold Agent Polling Setting
On that screen, those fields are all or nothing. In other words, you cannot 'edit' the settings on a device by only filling in one or a few of these fields, it will overwrite the agent with the values in all of these fields.
