Disk Threshold Settings

I've currently created a task to update the minor and critical thresholds on all servers. I've looked at my log and it says that the 'set disk threshold has been sent to the device'. But when looking at the logical disks on the server, there don't seem to be any thresholds set. Anyone have any ideas on why this may be occuring !!!!.

Re: Disk Threshold Settings

I mean that the threshold ar shown in FILESYSTEM SPACE USED and not in logical disk.

Re: Disk Threshold Settings

When you browse to to the Server Agent and go to the Logical Disk space is there a Save Thresholds Button below the Disk Space?

If not, then you do not have Write Access and IM will have the same problem.
You need to set up a Community Name on SNMP that has Read/Write Access ans IM needs to know to use the Community Name.

Re: Disk Threshold Settings

I seem to remember that there was a thread about this a while back, and that it was actually necessary for the SNMP community string to have READ CREATE rights (not just READ WRITE) to set thresholds.

Re: Disk Threshold Settings

Steve,
I've only ever used Read/Write and it has always worked for me.
I recall threads many moons ago saying something similar but that has not been my experience.
In use the same setups for NT4, W2000 and W2003 without problems.
