DL360 G1 & ASM Controller
On a number of DL360 G1 servers, each with latest BIOS P21 11/15/02, I have noticed that the 'HP ProLiant Advanced System Management Controller' is flagged in System devices in Device Manager.
The Device Status reveals 'Your computer's system firmware does not include enough information to properly configure and use this device. To use this device, contact your computer manufacturer to obtain a firmware or BIOS update. (Code 35)'
Version Control reveals the HP ProLiant ASM Controller Driver as 5.37.00, and is flagged as Green OK.
The latest PSP 7.50A W2K has been applied.
However, HP Insight Management Agents W2k reports it is still at 7.40 - it hasn't been upgraded by the PSP install.
It reports that 'The installation program couldn't find the appropriate system management controller driver which is required but is not currently installed. Please install the appropriate system management controller driver and then rerun the setup program.'
SNMP is ON, and is set correctly (measured against other working systems).
Recap:

How do I fix the error that is reported in the Device Manager?
