Domain Administrator Password changed Problem

Domain Administrator Password changed Problem

In our organization they decided to change the Windows Domain Administrator password. I went and changed the password in services for all the SIM related entries and for Microsoft SQL Server. Then I used mxpassword to set the password there but I am now still getting inside of HP SIM authentication error messages, all about 127.0.0.1 and Administrator. I believe these come from the other modules we use, such as ISEE. Where can I find more information, the email notification nor the event information inside of SIM is very informative:

Event Name: Login Failed Authentication
URL: https://hpsim:2381/
Event originator: hpsim
Event Severity: Major
Event received: 17-Sep-2007, 12:21:49
Event description: Login Failed Authentication

Security Event Details
User Name: CORP\administrator
IP Address: 127.0.0.1
Device Name: 127.0.0.1

As it tries to go to 2381, it indeed seems ISEE related.

Re: Domain Administrator Password changed Problem

Hello Ulf,

Did u try changing :
MxHPSIMServicePassword
MxDBUserPassword
MxPMPPassword

??

Also, this has to be changed after stopping SIM.

Regards,
James.

Re: Domain Administrator Password changed Problem

If I use mxpassword -g and then choose modify, I can see MxHPSIMServicePassword, MxSshKeyPassword and MxDBUserPassword. I had already changed MxDBUserPassword and also changed now MxHPSIMServicePassword but I am not sure that this will take care of when HP SIM tries to talk to ISEE related items via port 2381?

Re: Domain Administrator Password changed Problem

Looks like MxHPSIMServicePassword did actually the trick, haven't gotten any events yet.
