Drill Down to HP Agent
I have discovered my HP devices and wish to drill down to component level of each device.
I have number of DL360/320 and aware I need to install the Agent on a per machine basis. I also have a number of DL140s'. The required user "wbemuser" has been set on thr SIM and a use created on the AD. As a test I also have configured a "wbemuser" on a single DL140 to see if I can "drill " down to component level of that machine. I seem unable to perform this task. Is there a paper on the steps required to perform this task ?

Re: Drill Down to HP Agent
- Presence of the WMI Mapper and a pointer to it within HP SIM
- Make sure you are not using the "_" underscore character in host names. It isn't a valid DNS character according the the ICANN spec and it "breaks" the WMI mapper
- Check to see if WBEM has been a discovered protocol on the device (it's shown on the device page)
Additionally, since no agent is involved, the detailed information that HP SIM collects won't be reflected as a link to an agent. Find the WMI information under the "Properties" link on the links tab for the device.

Re: Drill Down to HP Agent
It seems I need to configure a Local account for the "wbemuser" account, but seems not to make a difference
Host names are fine.
