E-mail notification (server up & down)
Recently upgraded from CIM 7 2.3 to SIM 4.1, my e-mail notification events transferred but were not working well. I deleted all my e-mail events and re-created them but still have the same effect, I get 3 e-mail messages with events for a single "server down" event and when I setup "server up" event, I get all of my servers (430 of them)times 3, saying server up. There must be a quick and easy embedded task for such notifications but I can't find it. Can someone assist? Thank you in advance.
Mike.

Re: E-mail notification (server up & down)
I just set up notifications for Severity is Major and Severity is Critical.
This should just give a notification when a device goes into a major or critical state.
It would depend on how you've set up the event notification, or was it done as part of the upgrade.
You could disable the existing notifications and set up a new one and test that. You can edit existing notifications to try and get a better understanding of what condidtions they'll report for.
