editing system properties
Hi, I want my servers to be listed by name as they were discovered by IP initially. I have edited the system properties to change the preferred system name. The first problem was it instantly removed it from the group it was associated to and the second and more concerning is I cannot open up the homepage on any of the servers whose names have changed, the error I get is;
HP Systems Insight Manager is unable to launch the System Management Home Page at: https://172.19.1.4:2381/. com.hp.mx.core.nodemanager.MxUndefinedNodeException: The name "172.19.1.4" does not represent a node in this system.
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Re: editing system properties
Typically HPSIM uses DNS to resolve names. Both forward and reverse lookups need to work correctly.
It's worth the effort of getting your DNS right.
You can try deleting the server that has been identified by IP address and re-adding it manually using its name.
