Email alerts stopped working

Running HP Systems insightmanager 4.2 with SP 1.

Email Alerts working perfectly until a few days ago, but now have stopped.

Is there a log file I can check on the management server? Or can somebody point me to a possible answer?

problem sorted due to Notes config change
