I had SIM 4.1 = email flooding
Upgraded to SIM 4.2 = email flooding
By email flooding, I mean we are getting old Alerts from last summer. I havent been able to nail down what triggers the old alerts to be delivered. Anyway, it was over 23,000 and counting tonight before I shut down the server.
I see some other threads out there about this, seems a lot of people are having this problem.
Any solution on the way?

Re: Email flooding
HP - this has been a problem since 4.0. I have opened at least 2 cases on this issue. It has been reported multiple times in this arena. Yet the problem still remains in 4.2. When can we expect a solution?

Re: Email flooding
I have applied 4.2 SP1 and I *STILL* have email flooding. I picked up over 4200 of them over the weekend.
It would be very nice to get to the bottom of this and eliminate the problem once and for all.
My environment:
Windows 2000 server upgraded in place to Windows 2003 server
CIM 7 (multiple upgrades) to HP SIM 4.1 to 4.2 to 4.2 SP1.
---
I'm getting to the point of trashing everything and reloading from scratch...

Re: Email flooding
I'll try the new patch. As for going to 5.0, that could be a career terminating move for me! Ha ha ha. Downed Exchange servers tend to get the attention of the Execs pretty darn quick.
I'll reply after applying the fix.
