Email Notifications - Events

Just got management of HP ISM
Running V. C.04.00.00
How do you edit the recipients of email regarding events.
Where can you configure the size of the event log?
My system appears to reach a particular log size and before deleting the log - emails recipients the whole log - somewhere around 1500 emails last time. Obviously this drive the recipients mad.
How to rectify this situation?
