Error_log file over 2.6 GB

I am looking at the error_log file in the C:\hp\hpsmh\logs directory, and the error_log file is over 2.6 GB (yes GB) and growing. Where is this file coming from? How can I shrink it down? Can i turn off the logging?

It comes from HP Systems Management Homepage, but shouldn't be that big. You can try to cycle the service to see if it stops, but is there any information in the log file that keeps repeating or something?

I would log a support case.
