Error SNMP Trap on some servers
Hi all,
On some servers, i've got some strange errors.
I installed all HP Agents (WBEM, Insight Management Agents ...) but i don't receive information from SNMP on HP SIM.
When i go on SMH of the server, i don't have any problem, i can change Data Source from to WBEM to SNMP without problem, so I suppose the problem come from HP SIM.
FYI, I don't have this problem for all servers, but some of them.
To finish, i don't have any restriction in "Event Filtrer Settings"
If you need more information, don't hesitate.
Thanks you for help.
Nicolas

Re: Error SNMP Trap on some servers
I had these problems too
I had to go back over each server and make sure I had all the SNMP services configured exaclty the same
meaning that when you put in the communtiy strings...that the string had to be the same even the case...if I had one server the had PUBLIC instead of public...it caused issues....and they suggest you use 127.0.0.1 as the 1st entry for servers that you can recive traps from...... not the machine name or the servers TCP/IP address

Re: Error SNMP Trap on some servers
I follow this link : http://wittedmind.com/index.php/how-to-configure-snmp-for-hp-system-management-homepage-hp-smh-in-windows/
And all parameter about public is written in lowercase.
Any ideas ?

Re: Error SNMP Trap on some servers
I already put in public list.
On this server is installed Windows 2k8 R2 Standard, full windows update , perhaps there is a conflit with this version ...
The version of HP SIM is :
Version: Systems Insight Manager 7.1.0 - Windows Build version: C.07.01.00.00 Build date: 2012-06-06 17:20

You could try replicating settings to the servers that are not sending any traps using one of your working servers as the source.
