Event Category Descriptions
SIM Event Handling provides the ability to select events by event category. For example "HP Service Events", "Common Cluster Events", "Proliant Miscellaneous Events". I have searched the HP web site for a description of these (and other) event categories and have not been able to find anything. It would be nice to know what is included in "HP Service Events". What does HP consider to be "Common Cluster Events", etc. Does anyone know where I can find a description of all the event categories?

Re: Event Category Descriptions
Hi Rick,
Go to Options-->Events-->SNMP Trap Settings.
Here you can find the list of registered mibs and the events defined in each of the mib.This page also lets you know under which category a particular trap/event belongs to, its associated severity and whether or not it can be handled.
I hope this information hepls you to some extent.
