Export certain settings only?

Is there a way to just export certain info like sites, contacts, etc?

Building new CMS, export tool keeps erroring out and the database and been moved and played with for years.
So I am fine with populating all systems again and starting from a clean perspective.

However, is there a way to just export certain things to save a little time?
