Failed Custom Software Baseline install by SIM using VCRM/VCA

Hi All,

I have HP SIM 4.2 SP2 installed on Windows Server 2003, without SP1, with Proliant Support Pack 7.30A and VCRM (ver. 2.1.0.720 ) installed on same server.
I’ve installed HP SIM with a local administrator user. HP SIM is a domain member server (so HP SIM and openSSH services run under this users).

I tried to install a Custom Software Baseline that I created (this only contains, cp005377.exe, which is Online ROM Flash component for Windows - HP Integrated Lights-Out Version 1.75) on a server Proliant DL580 G2 with W2k3, where I have VCA agent correctly configured (have trust by certificate with SIM, user and password correct, etc), and I got “Failed”. If I go to view VCA Agent log of the server, I have:

3752 2005-06-02 18:00:02 The Version Control Agent POSTed a InstallComplete category event with severity code 1 to URL http://simservername.domain.com:280/cpqevent.
3752 2005-06-02 18:00:01 Completed installation with summary result 0.
3752 2005-06-02 18:00:01 The Version Control Agent POSTed a DownloadComplete category event with severity code 1 to URL http:// simservername.domain.com:280/cpqevent.
3752 2005-06-02 18:00:01 Started installation task from caller simservername.domain.com.

On logs directory on SIM, I have on same time “DomainManager.264.err.log”, which stats “java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range: -1” on one line of the log.
On VCRM log I don’t have nothing.
Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem?

Thank

Re: Failed Custom Software Baseline install by SIM using VCRM/VCA

Hi

Just an "add on"...
I have HP SIM installed and running with, a local user account with local administrative privileges on SIM server, but its not a domain user, and this user account doesn't have any permissions on the managed servers.
Question: do i need do configure SSH on SIM server with a domain user with administrator privileges on managed servers, and the change on the TDEF tools??

Thanks
