False disk threshold warning
Hi,
using HP SIM 5.0 SP5 and PSP 7.90 I got a problem a few weeks ago. One of my servers (actually the SIM server itself) started to send warnings about exceeding the disk busy threshold every few minutes. Beeing busy myself I initially ignored the problem and just turned off the notifications.
Meanwhile a upgraded the agents to PSP 7.91 and last weekend to 8.00. The warnings status beeing shown in SIM did not vanish and is still displayed, even through the managent board.
Last I disabled the thresholds via the webinterface of the PSP. The warning is still there.
I also tried to set the thresholds to 99/100% but got the same result.
So, what can I do the clear the false major status?
Second question: Why are the disks busy? The server is just a backup device running SIM and 3 small virtual machines. It has enough RAM and normally shows no CPU activity. Now changes were made when the problem occured first (except from the PSP) and at hat moment it ran since a couple of months in unchanged configuration.
