First time User HP SIM vers 5.2
I am setting up version 5.2 to monitor 20 proliant servers. What are the general best practices? I am also palnning to setup a second one as standby. Can both work at the same time? can they share the same SQL server? I coulnot find any info on these except the basic installation doc
Thanks
Thanks

Re: First time User HP SIM vers 5.2
You'll probably find the following document helpful in your environment: "Getting started with HP SIM 5.2 in a smaller Windows environment."
In terms of redundant HP SIM setups, the only supported option is through the use of Microsoft Cluster Services, documented in "Deploying HP SIM 5.x on MSCS Clusters." There also is a whitepaper using another technique called "Automation of two HP SIM 5.1 or greater servers to provide Failover Event Handling."
All of these are available from http://www.hp.com/go/hpsim --> Information Library
