global protocols not global? (icmp)
Hi,
i've setup SIM in a firewalled environment. The availability to use a tcp 'ping' in 'global protocols' lead to the belief I do not need ICMP for SIM to work.
Now, discovery seems to work just fine, but the configure and repair agents feature doe snot seem to work
"
Could not connect to the target system: <serverFQDN>
The network path was not found.
HP Systems Insight Manager was unable to connect to the target because it was unreachable.
"
Dns name resolution for this system works, and ports for wbem, snmp and smh are open and verified.
Is it true this feature (still) relies on ICMP???
