Hardware Status Polling
Each morning when I logon I get lots of emails from HP SIM telling me that servers became unreachable throughout the night. The only reason I’m getting the errors is because the network has very briefly lost connection to the servers (not a big deal).
I obviously need to configure the threshold for the hardware status polling task. I only want to be notified if the server dies or has gone offline for a substantial amount of time.
Can anyone tell me what settings they use to monitor the hardware status / availability?
Much appreciated.
Andrew

Re: Hardware Status Polling
Some of the retry and number of attempts settings can be changed in the Global Protocols Settings Section.
Unless these devices are on slow WAN links I'd be a bit concerned why they're dropping off. I see nothing like this even during backups where the network gets hit.
You might want to check the Duplex settings on some of the NICs.
