hardware traps not getting through from esx server

OS - esx3.0
hpsim agents - 7.70
hp DL580 server

Installed the above agents on dl50 server. I go to the server home page on port 2381 and I am able to send a test trap to my snmp console. However, I cannot send a hardware trap ie pulling power supply cord or disk drive.Anyone else seen this? Here is my snmpd config. thanks in advance.
