Host file discovery issues

I needed to limit the discovery/management of systems to specific servers. I created a Host file and ran discovery with just the $Server_list file in the inclusion box. It worked, sort of, I have 104 servers in the list but it is only discovering 9? The list is formated correctly as it is reading and discovering them through out the list. I cannot find the common thread between all of my 9 discovered servers. Most are new, however a few are older builds.

Is there a version issue with the agents and manager? I am running 4.2. Other pointers?

Under Discovery/Automatic Discovery hit Save and Run. Look at the Status and it will say pinging 1 of 100 or whatever you have in you hosts file. How many servers are listed here? If all 104 server are listed. check to make sure you have unchecked the "Use Discovery filters" at least for troubleshooting. If a system is detected as unmanaged and you have the default filters enabled it will not display those machines. If only 9 servers are being pinged, there is probably something wrong with your hosts file.
