How can I set MaxClients?

Hi,

Setup:
5 x RHEL4 U3 boxes; 1 = HPSIM manager, 4 = PSP clients

HPSIM
Version: Systems Insight Manager 5.0 with Update 2 - Linux
Build version: C.05.00.02.00

PSP v 7.60

I am a newbie to HP-SIM and I have 4 clients using PSP 7.60 on RedHat ES4 U3 which want to send traps to the Insight Manager. However when I perform simulated disk failure tests on 2 of them (the first 2 I had the HP-SIM discover) the traps come through OK but when I perform the same tests on the next 2 clients which were added later, no trap is received.

I am also seeing the following in the "/var/spool/opt/hp/hpsmh/logs/error_log": on the non-connecting clients

[Wed Nov 01 19:07:44 2006] [error] server reached MaxClients setting, consider raising the MaxClients setting

Aha! So ... how can I increase the value of MaxClients? :)

Additionally the installations of the PSP were identical for all clients.

Hi,

The problem was not with MaxClients (although I see that this value is set in the "/opt/hp/hpsmh/conf/smhpd.conf" file and refers, I believe, to the web interface connections). The problem was that I did not have my trapsink listed in the "/var/snmp/snmpd.conf" file on the second 2 servers. Problem solved :)

Does the HPSIM have a built-in apache svc? I couldn't see one - I just figured HPSIM borrowed the syntax :)
