Does anyone knows why one of my HP DL360G4 appearing on HP SIM as Unknown HP SNMP Device? I'm using HP SIM ver 4.1.

Do you have SNMP service installed and a proper community string specified on the DL 360G4 Server ? Also You need to have Insight Management Agents installed to be identified as DL 360G4 in HPSIM.

Yes, SNMP is installed as well as HP Agents.

Check your SNMP agent (services). ensure that it start. then discovery again.

Check your SNMP settings.

Default Win2K3 does't accept traps from anyone, you have to change that SNMP accept traps for any host and not only the local host.

Sometimes I hate these answers from support engineers, but they always ask me to update my systems to the latest version. In this case HPSIM 4.2 SP1 and then also your clients to Support pack 7.3/7.2.
