SolutionAny idea when items such as the Installation & Upgrade procedures will be available.
That would be quite useful for some installation planning. Also a New Features guide, the HPSIM overview page certainly shows the major elements but some of the smaller improvements would be useful to know.

Re: HP SIM 4.2 information
It would be really great, if the cluster identification and the cluster management would work finally in the new release.

Re: HP SIM 4.2 information
That detail is covered in the PDF attached to the top message. 4.2 is a very minor update--you won't see much of a difference. The majority of the changes are internal, mostly going to support the new VMM and VPM functionality.
Nicholai:
The dev team is not tracking against any bugs in cluster management. If you have specific issues, get them into customer services so they can be documented and become part of the official corrective action list.

Re: HP SIM 4.2 information
I just did some reading between the lines on the SIM site, and what I came away with is that the Vulnerability and Patch Management Pack will be offered under the same model as the Performance Management Pack. In other words, you can install it with SIM, and you get a few free licenses, and then you purchase licenses for the rest of your servers.
Could you please confirm whether or not that is correct, so I know whether I should be looking into pricing?
Thanks much,

Re: HP SIM 4.2 information
1) Edit properties of a monitored object. For example, I have a few servers that will just not inventory properly (like it will not pull the serial number). Now I can edit it manually and have it save (right now I have to run a daily SQL script to continually add the SN after a discover "re-blanks" it.
2)OS Accounts. YEAH!!! I hate having to manaage all those passwords that are unique per box.
3) Pause Polling! FINALLY! No explanation needed!
Thanks again for the slides and I look forward to the new version. Any ETA?
Nelly
