HP SIM 5.0 - Linux servers discovery

Hi! I working with Blades pClass with LX Red Hat and Windows. HP SIM is installed in a DL145 under Windows.
When an automatic discovery is executesd, all servers are discovered but data of those with LX is not good. For example, under model it says "Server Linux" and there is no operating system.
To make matter worse, Blades are detected (if the iLO option is enabled for the discovery task) but they appear as uninstalled.
Because of the mismatch information, these LX servers are not elegible to be monitored and scanned with PMP and VPM.
Any suggestion?
Thanks!

Re: HP SIM 5.0 - Linux servers discovery

Do you have the HP RH Agents installed on the Blades?
Is SNMP installed and set up to allow the HPSIM Server to get information, e.g. allowed hosts and correct community names?

Re: HP SIM 5.0 - Linux servers discovery

I fixed the snmp configuration (using a document for VMware) and everything worked as expected!
Thanks a lot for the tip, Rob!

Re: HP SIM 5.0 - Linux servers discovery

The problem was solved fixing the snmp configuration file (communities and trapsink).
