HP SIM 5.0 SP4
I am trying to install HP SIM 5.0 SP4 on an existing MS SQL Server 2000. While databse initialization, it fails. The error is as follows:
etails can be found in the log file at C:\Program Files\HP\Systems Insight Manager\logs\initconfig.log

[04-07-2006][12:25:43][HP Systems Insight Manager]Error:Database initialization failed
[04-07-2006][12:25:44][HP Systems Insight Manager]Shutdown.
I have tried logging in as local administrator. Also, I changed the TCP/IP port to 1453 and tried installing but in vain.
Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Try stopping your Anti Virus software then doing the install again.
It's a cheap and cheerful answer, but it's worked for me on installs and upgrades in the past.
