Re: HP SIM : Accesing Web manager
Hi,
Make sure that you are accessing SIM at the URL:
http://servername:280
or
http://1.1.1.1:280
Browing directly to other ports or to https:// does not work, at least with IIS.
Good luck,
- Steve

Re: HP SIM : Accesing Web manager
Hello,
Yes, I try to access web management at port 280:
http://mylinuxservername:280
And I get the message :
"HTTP Status 404 -/
type Status report
message /_
description The requested resource (/) is not available.
Apache Tomcat/4.1.29"
My server is Red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1, but I'm accesing the web management from a windows 2000 host with IE 6.0 and the JRE installed.
My linux server has this soft:
HP Server Management Drives and Agents
HP Storage Agent for linux
HP System Insight Manager 4.1
I've downloaded WEBM, but the version in the hp web is only for Integrity Server, and my server is a Proliant ML380G3. So, the only soft that is not installed is the WEBM.
Thanks,

Re: HP SIM : Accesing Web manager
Hi,
As far as WEBM, you should install the Proliant Support Pack for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1. I would not fool around with trying to install WEBM seperately.
Try installing the support pack before you install HPSIM.
Good luck,
- Steve
